Terms of Use
Version of 30 October 2026
These terms apply when you use ModFab Studio and your ModFab account. By creating an account you accept them. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
ModFab Studio and modfab.app are run by Mike Gazzaruso, publishing as NextEpochs (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@modfab.app.
2. Your account
- Use an email address that is yours and that you can read: it is how you sign in.
- An account is for one person. You can use it on up to three computers at a time and free a computer whenever you like.
- We may suspend an account that is used to attack or overload the service, to get around plan limits, or that was created with a temporary email address.
3. Plans
ModFab has a Free plan and paid plans. What each plan includes is shown in Studio and on modfab.app. With the Free plan, the plugins you make are for your own use on the computer where you made them: to share or sell them you need a paid plan. Prices, billing and cancellation of paid plans are shown before you buy one.
4. What you make is yours
Your projects, sounds, pictures, designs and the names you give your plugins belong to you. We do not claim any right over them and do not receive them unless you choose to publish through ModFab.
The plugins you export contain the ModFab audio engine. We allow you to use it, and on a paid plan to distribute it, as part of the plugins you make with ModFab. You may not take the engine out of your plugins, change it, or use it to build other products.
5. What you put in is your responsibility
Only use sounds, samples, amp captures, impulse responses, pictures and fonts that you made or have the right to use in your plugins. If someone tells us that a published plugin infringes their rights, we may remove it from ModFab’s services.
6. Using Studio fairly
We give you a personal licence to use Studio within your plan. Please do not copy or resell Studio, and do not try to get around its plan checks or licences, or those of the plugins people buy from you.
7. When a paid plan ends
Plugins your customers already bought keep working for them. You can still open your projects in Studio, but features of the paid plan stop working and you cannot publish updates or sell new copies until you subscribe again.
8. The service
We work to keep ModFab available and to improve it, so features may change. If we ever stop the service, we will tell you in advance. ModFab is provided as it is: we cannot promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose.
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Studio’s Settings. We may close an account that seriously breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can.
11. Law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws and the courts of the country where you live.
12. Changes
If these terms change, we publish the new version here with its date, and Studio asks you to accept it the next time you sign in.
